Trivia: There was talk of bringing H.R. Giger back for the second movie to do design work, but James Cameron decided against it because there was only one major design to be done, that of the Alien Queen, which Cameron had already done some drawings of.
Goofs: Factual errors: When Newt leads the group into the ventilation maze, she makes 3 successive right turns, which (considering the regular spacing of the intersections) would have returned them to where they entered. But since the ventilation floor is shown to be level & even with the floor of the room they were in, the 2 obviously couldn’t exist in 3 dimensions.
