Goofs: Errors made by characters (possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): John Malkovich’s character referred to “Los Angeles” with a soft “g”, just like the modern pronunciation. At that time, native Californians used the hard “g” (like in the word “angle”). This can be heard in movies even up to the 1950s. Easterners (= outsiders) of that era often said “anjeleez”, and when the city became overrun by them later, the compromise “anjeliss” came into being.
